Christmas photos

Derek and I had 3 days of opening items. He works late and we decided to do a little on the 23, 24 morning, 24 evening and then my parents on the 25. At first it was me who wanted to open something. When we started he would not stop. I said three things on the evening of the 23, then it was he wanted to do one more, then one more. It was pretty funny. There are no photos from the morning of the 24. I denied him from taking my photo that morning. We had a pretty fun Christmas. I wish I would've had him all day, but I know he has to work.
Enjoy.

Derek's family opens one gift at a time and they take a photo of you with the gift. Don't worry I am only attaching a few photos.

Decorating for the Holidays

History on the Harvey-Svilar Christmas. We had a four foot tree last year. Derek decided this year he needed a bigger tree. I went shopping with Lacey on Black Friday and got a slim 7ft tree. Since I had larger tree I needed a tree skirt, more ornaments and just because we don't have any I bought two stocking. The total for my "needed" purchases was $70. I SAVED $130!!! YEAH ME!!

Christmas tree from '07. The reason he wanted a bigger tree.

My $25 Christmas tree. I love it. It's not wide and we only had to move one item to put it up. It did take 20 minutes for me to find the bulb that was burnt out, so all the lights would light up. Derek suggested we just leave it out. I was determined to fix it though. It might have been cheap, but it was going to work! We decorated to some very festive music, the new Guns N' Roses album. Derek put Christmas music on for a second and turned it right off. You've got to love the Holidays at my house. :)

All pretty.

Our stocking and more Christmas decorations.

Picture with some presents and the new camera.

They only item we had to move to put the tree up.

What tree would be complete without Cubs candy canes?

I hope everyone is having a good time getting ready for the Holidays.
