1 year

We went to Chicago to celebrate our first year together. It was soooo much fun and the weather was great. The first night Derek was dying for "Chicago Style" Deep Dish pizza from World Famous Pizzeria Uno's; it had a very long wait over an hour & a half, so went went to Pizzeria Duo's; it's the SAME place they had to make more room for the high demand. They don't blow things up out there so they moved down the street to a different house and gave it another name; but it's the same food. I got sick and like the pizza here better and Derek was in HEAVEN and ate 3 slices; which is a lot for a deep dish pizza. Sunday we went up and down Michigan Ave; which is the Fifth Avenue of Chicago. Derek had to get some Cubs items and Chicago memorabilia, I was along for the walk, a very long walk, I did get a very cute Cubs shirt which I love. Monday we went to three museums and hung out and walked some more. That night we met his Aunt and Uncle for the White Sox's game. The game was great and we saw fireworks and had a blast with his family. Tuesday we met his friend Chris and his girlfriend Melissa at Navy Pier. We rode the Ferris Wheel and played Mini Golf. Around three we headed down to Wrigley Field. Derek wanted to get there early to soak up the atmosphere. basically we walked around in and out of stores looking at Cubs items, hit up a few bars and hung out among thousands of Cubs fans. It was okay, but the Zoo would have been more fun; even though when saw animals of a different kind on Addison & Clark. ( Those are the cross streets for those who do not know where Wrigley Field is.) The game was pretty short, but good because the Cubs won. We got to see them win in their town and sing the "Go Cubs Go"song, that was pretty awesome. The trip seemed long with all we packed into our days; however it was short and I can not wait to go out again. It was a lot of fun and I would recommend Chicago to anyone. It's a great city.

Um, you start a blog but don't tell people the address, so they have to find it on their own!

Chicago is a great city in the Spring and Summertime but I'm sure freezing in the Fall and Winter.
I'm happy you had fun.
